Role: Junior Security Analyst
Location: Wiltshire
Working Practices: Hybrid 2/3 days on site
Salary: Up to £35,000
Benefits: 32 days annual leave, private pension
Below are key responsibilities for the role:
- Review of security control application effectiveness of Prolinx and its customers
- Review of security incidents and ensure correct closure and future prevention
- Assist in local InfoSec reviews and feedback from external audits
- Help drive security and compliance awareness across the business
- Involvement in Operational Security Services such as SOC, SIEM, Penetration Testing & Vulnerability scanning
- Review of security related change requests that are received for Data Centre customer tenancies
- Pro-actively identify areas for security improvement and engage with end users to achieve these improvements
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CEH, GSEC) are a plus.
- Solid understanding of information security principles, concepts, and best practices
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Basic knowledge of networking protocols, TCP/IP, and network architecture
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and troubleshoot security incidents effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with industry regulations and frameworks, such as PCI DSS, NIST, or ISO 27001, is advantageous
- A passion for learning and a proactive attitude towards professional development in the field of cybersecurity.
