Hours:

This position is Full Time and will be varied shifts, including weekend work. Please see below for the breakdown.

· Full-time hours in the duration of spa work experience (3 months) £10.42 per hour

· Paid study/practical time within the Spa Academy for approximately 32.5 hours per week for 5/6 months (Varied days)

· Full-time hours available (Minimum 4 days) in Spa Therapy upon completion of the course with below pay scale (reviewed annually) and commission

Level 1 £12.92 - Level 2 £13.92 - Level 3 £14.92 - Level 4 £15.92

Duration of Course:

As a Spa Therapy Trainee, you will assist Spa team members to learn a range of skills and techniques, including the daily running of our luxurious Spa & Thermal Village at Galgorm or at The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat for 12 weeks before you move to the Spa Academy to complete your CIBTAC qualification.

The CIBTAC qualification includes skin treatments, anatomy and physiology and body massage which will take approximately 6 months to complete.

On successful completion of your CIBTAC qualification, you will transfer to the Therapy department in either Galgorm or the Rabbit to enhance your knowledge and expertise as a world-class therapist.

Location: Spa Academy (Galgorm Castle), Galgorm Spa & Golf Resort (Cullybackey, Ballymena) & The Rabbit (Templepatrick)

Salary: Hourly rate, which will be discussed at the interview stage.

The main duties involve;

• To complete CIBTAC qualifications in Skin Treatments, Massage and Anatomy and Physiology at The Spa Academy
• Once qualified perform massages and facials to our guests and members.
• Achieve individual sales targets on products.
• Ensure that guests/members receive a warm and friendly welcome and are provided with privacy and their expectations are exceeded.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and deal with queries effectively through offering professional advice on products and treatments available.
• Statutory compliance including all Healthworks related Health & Safety obligations which your manager may identify to you and ensure you work with agreed regulations by completing registration/consultation cards for every client.

The Person:

Essential Criteria, applicants must have;

• Three GCSE A-C Grade (Desirable: Maths, English and Biology, however not essential)
• The ability to demonstrate your initiative and have a compassionate, intuitive, caring and sensitive understanding of clients’ needs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong desire to become a Spa Therapist

Desirable;

• A proven track record of working within a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience or an interest in the Hospitality industry.
